I've been an Occupational Therapist working with children since 1999.  In 2007, I became co-owner of One Step At A Time Therapy.  I've specialized in feeding therapy for the last 15 years. 

 

When working with children with feeding delays, I often found that I was using my gloved fingers to stimulate movement of the jaw, tongue, cheeks, and lips. 

 

In 2016, I had the idea for a spoon that would stimulate the same movements of the mouth muscles that I was using my fingers to elicit. 

 

This way the child is building skills with every bite they take, at every meal, every day.
